Conversations in the Car with Austin

This is too good not to share.

A few days ago while driving home afterschool…
Austin:  Have we passed by the dying place yet?
Mom:  You mean the cemetery?
A:  Yes, where people go to die.
M:  They don’t die there, that’s where they are buried after they die.
A:  Like when Great Papa died they put him in the car and drove him there and he went in the ground.
M:  Yes
A: I miss Great Papa.
M:  He’s in Heaven
A: Can we go visit him?
M:  When we die we will go to Heaven too and we will see him again.

A few days later while passing by the cemetery again.
A:  Mommy there’s the cemetery.
M:  Yes
A:  Mommy, when I die you will drive me in the car and bury me there.
M:  Well, I hope that I will die before you, so you will bury me there.
A:  Then I will be alone.
M:  No you won’t you will probably be married and have your own kids.
A:  Yeah and Jessica can be my mom.  (She was one of Austin’s soccer teammates)
M:  You mean your wife?  You have plenty of time to find the right girl.  Someone who is nice and loves Heavenly Father and someone you can have fun with.
A:  I think Jessica is the one.
