Our Princess is One!

Can you believe it's been a year?  I turned 1 last Sunday and we had a wonderful celebration the night before at the park.  I loved my cake and presents.

My walking keeps getting stronger, I can make it across a room most of the time without tumbling down.  I am 20 lbs, 29 inches of baby cuteness!  I have two upper teeth trying to come through so I am chewing on everything!

Over the past year, my pediatric urologist has been keeping an eye on the cysts on my left kidney that were detected before birth. The cysts have not decresed in size as he had hoped, so I had some further tests a few weeks ago to check the function and to make sure there was no reflux in my healthy kidney.  Thankfully there is no reflux at this time.  There is no function in the other kidney so there is a chance it could be removed when I'm older. At this point, it will be checked once per year.

Dear Amilia,  You are the spunkiest girl we know and you have brought so much joy and love to our family. You have kept us on our toes with your health concerns and your daring fearlessness.  We love you so much and are so grateful that we get to be your parents and Austin loves being your big brother.  You are beloved daughter of our Heavenly Father and we promise to love, guide, and protect you always.
Love, Mommy, Daddy, and Austin
