Sad news

We lost the baby. Today after school, I went to my OB appointment and they could not find a heartbeat on the doppler. After a few more tries, they did an ultrasound and found the baby measuring just a little over 8 weeks with no heartbeat. So shortly after our first appointment and ultrasound, the baby just stopped developing, more than likely because of something wrong genetically. However, my body still hasn't recognized the loss, so I will get a D&C, hopefully early next week. We are pretty devastated. We are so grateful for our little Austin and will never take him for granted. We will start trying again after the first of the year when we get the go ahead from the doctor. We are blessed to have family and friends who will help us through this.
